Issues

I am driven to make Arizona’s future as bright as possible. I have dedicated my entire adult life to serving the citizens of Arizona. I have a young family and children in public schools in District 20. Additionally, my wife runs her own business as do I. In short, I am fully invested in the future of Arizona!

If we focus on Arizona's priorities, everything else will begin to fall into place:

Fixing Arizona's Economy
When times are tough for a family, you have to make budget priorities and cut back on your spending. The same should go for our state. Arizona just passed a budget with over $2 billion in borrowing and fund sweeps. We cannot continue to live outside of our means or else it will impact our economy for many years to come.

Supporting Public Safety
While we make our government more efficient, we must maintain and improve our level of public safety. I am the only candidate with experience in protecting the public against violent offenders. I will continue to work to reduce all crimes associated with illegal immigration, substance abuse and drunk driving. And just as importantly, I will fight to protect our children against sexual predators.

Protecting Small Business
Small business is the lifeblood of Arizona’s economy. As a small business owner myself, I understand how the economy impacts business owners and their ability to provide for their family. We must have a reasonable tax structure that helps Arizonans keep their hard earned dollars. Keeping our small businesses healthy ensures a bright future for Arizona.

Supporting Quality Education
Our businesses need an educated workforce. And kids who finish school and are prepared for the future are a lot less likely to become involved in criminal conduct. We do this with a combination of giving our families choices in educating our children and providing our educators the tools they need and holding them accountable.

Creating Reasonable Transportation Solutions
Transportation is the lifeblood of the economy. A viable multi-modal transportation system is vital to the future of District 20 and Arizona. I am certain a reasonable solution can be arrived at in the alignment of SR202 to prevent a critical traffic failure in the inner core.
